Cake development

The clay cakes I made were too heavy for the table heather and Amy made so I had to try and made them again out of polystyrene to make them lighter.

More wax exploration.

I decided to explore wax and water more because I really liked the effect it gave and I wanted to use them for the final piece but they were too heavy

Fabric cake development

I made a cake out of white fabric and sewed the sides together and filled it with wadding. I then dyed it blue and covered it with glue and ink to create an icing effect.

Big and small clothes

Eleanor put some small and big clothes on to represent Alice's changing size throughout the story.

Fabric cake research.

I wanted to research into exsisting cakes made from fabric to give me some inspiration for my own work and the cakes I will make.

Craig Fisher

I started looking at Craig Fisher's work to inspire some of my cake designs. I liked the way he used fabric and textiles in his work to create scenes and props like knives and other weapons.

Chershire cat inspired sculpture.

With this sculpture, I wanted to represent the Cheshire Cat and how it 'disappears' by leaving parts missing when I covered the wire structure with plaster and scrim
